Blarney Castle is a fun stop, especially if you enjoy Irish history and old castles. The castle itself is impressive, and walking around the grounds gives you plenty to see beyond just the famous Blarney Stone.
The Blarney Stone is obviously the main attraction, but be prepared for some stairs and a little bit of waiting if it’s busy. The gardens are actually one of our favorite parts of the visit, with beautiful scenery and plenty of areas to explore.
We’d recommend Blarney Castle, but we’d say it’s more of a fun experience than a must-see like the Cliffs of Moher. Give yourself a couple of hours to enjoy the castle and grounds. Our honest rating: 4 out of 5. Worth the visit, especially if you’re already traveling through the Cork area.
